By submitting an enquiry through our website, by enrolling in a course, or by corresponding with us for the purpose of enrolment, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Our courses are intended for adults aged 18 and over. By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under Malaysian law.

We offer three educational programmes:

Courses are conducted at our premises in Kuala Lumpur. We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to course content, schedule, or format where necessary. We will notify enrolled students of any material changes promptly.

4. Enrolment and payment

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Payments are accepted by bank transfer or such other methods as we specify at the time of enrolment. All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable tax.

Refund policy

If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund of fees paid. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have incurred.

6. Intellectual property

All course materials, exercises, commentary, and website content produced by Buacouns Studies are protected by copyright. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use course materials for your own study only.

Written work submitted by you during a course remains your intellectual property. By submitting it, you grant us the right to use it for the purpose of providing feedback and improving our teaching materials, on an anonymised basis.

7. Disclaimers

Our courses are educational in nature. Nothing taught in any course, or communicated by our instructors, constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We do not make representations about the performance of any financial product or the outcome of any financial decision.

The website and course materials are provided in good faith. We do not warrant that all information is complete, accurate, or up to date in every particular, though we take reasonable steps to ensure quality and currency.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our liability to you in connection with any course or use of our website is limited to the amount of fees you have paid to us.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of our courses or website, including any financial decisions made as a result of attending a course.

9. Termination

We may terminate your enrolment in a course if you breach these terms or if your conduct causes disruption to other students or to our operations. In such circumstances, refunds will be considered on their merits.

The Tutored Reading Companion may be ended by either party at the conclusion of a twelve-week term by giving reasonable written notice.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these terms or from your enrolment in a course will first be subject to an informal resolution process: you should write to us at [email protected] and we will endeavour to resolve the matter within 21 days.

If informal resolution is not achieved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. For enrolled students, material changes will be communicated by email. Your continued enrolment following notification of a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
